The Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department, Govt. of Himachal Pradesh on November 04, 2025, notified regarding the fixation of Maximum Retail Prices of Essential Commodities in Bilaspur District.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It has fixed the maximum retail prices for essential commodities in the district. The order supersedes all previous notifications and specifies price caps for meat, chicken, fish, cooked food, milk, curd, paneer, and cold drinks.
• Prices are fixed at ₹500/kg for goat meat, ₹240/kg for chicken, ₹200–380/kg for fish, and ₹8–20 for chapati/parantha items. Cooked dishes like full diet, rice, dal, meat curry, and paneer dishes range from ₹50 to ₹130 per plate.
• The notification ensures price stability and consumer protection against profiteering, with immediate effect across Bilaspur district.
• The order aims to prevent overcharging and profiteering, ensuring fair prices for consumers.
