The Ministry of Communications, on December 31, 2025, notified amendments to the Post Office Regulations, 2024 by issuing the Post Office (Seventh Amendment) Regulations, 2025, in exercise of powers conferred under section 13 of the Post Office Act, 2023, with the prior approval of the Central Government.
Through this notification, the authority has introduced changes in Schedule III, Table VIII of the Post Office Regulations, 2024. These amendments form part of the ongoing regulatory updates aimed at aligning postal regulations with the provisions of the Post Office Act, 2023 and improving administrative and operational efficiency.
The amended regulations shall come into force with effect from January 1, 2026, and shall apply accordingly from that date.
