Finance & Taxation Compliance The Ministry of Finance (MoF), on December 31, 2025, issued an amendment to older notification related to prescribing GST rates on tobacco products.

The following amendments have been stated:-

• In the Schedule II – 9%, after S. No. 4 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be inserted, namely: “4A - 403 19 21, 2403 19 29 - Biris;”;.

• The Schedule VII – 14%, and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted.

• This notification shall come into force on February 01, 2026.
