The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers (MoCF) on January 01, 2026, notified regarding the launch of Integrated Fertilizers claim process.
Aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision of Digital India and Viksit Bharat @2047, the Department of Fertilizers has launched a fully digital e-Bill System to strengthen financial governance and subsidy management. The system was inaugurated by Union Minister Sh. Jagat Prakash Nadda at Kartavya Bhawan, New Delhi, and will facilitate the processing of approximately ₹2 lakh crore in fertilizer subsidies.
The e-Bill System marks a major shift from manual, paper-based procedures to an end-to-end digital, system-to-system workflow, eliminating physical movement of bills. It is the result of a technological integration between the Department’s Integrated Financial Management System (iFMS) and the Public Financial Management System (PFMS) of the Controller General of Accounts.
Key benefits highlighted include enhanced transparency, accountability, and efficiency, with a centralized, tamper-proof digital audit trail, real-time monitoring of expenditures, and improved financial controls. The system enables seamless data exchange, reduces duplication and errors, accelerates subsidy payments, and allows fertilizer companies to submit and track claims online. Overall, the initiative strengthens financial discipline, supports informed decision-making, and reinforces the Government’s commitment to technology-driven governance.
