The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on January 02, 2026, notified regarding the launch of Interest Subvention for Pre- and Post-Shipment Export Credit under Export Promotion Mission – Niryat Prothsahan.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It has launched an Interest Subvention Scheme for Pre- and Post-Shipment Rupee Export Credit under the Export Promotion Mission – Niryat Prothsahan, effective immediately, to improve liquidity and reduce financing costs for MSME exporters.
• The scheme provides interest subvention at the rate of 2.75% per annum on eligible export credit, subject to a maximum benefit of ₹50 lakh per MSME exporter per financial year.
• It applies to MSME manufacturers and merchant exporters holding a valid IEC and Udyam registration, and is limited to exports under a notified positive list of HSN six-digit tariff lines.
• The intervention is being implemented through RBI on a pilot basis, with banks required to pass on the benefit upfront and claim reimbursement from RBI.
• The guidelines are also issued for stakeholder consultation, with feedback invited within 30 days for refinement and formalisation of the scheme.
