The Government of Rajasthan, on January 02, 2026, notified the Rajasthan Vehicle Scrapping Policy- 2025.
The following has been stated: -
•Rajasthan’s growing vehicle population and large number of end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) present an opportunity to build a formal, sustainable scrappage ecosystem.
•With a strong automotive manufacturing base and the push from the Rajasthan EV Policy, 2022, the State aims to support circular economy principles through efficient recycling and material recovery.
•The Rajasthan Vehicle Scrapping Policy, 2025, seeks to phase out unfit vehicles, reduce pollution and emissions, and create a transparent, traceable scrapping value chain.
•Key objectives include promoting registered scrapping facilities, eco-parks, low-cost recycled materials, job creation, and compliance with environmental and safety norms.
