The National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX), on January 02, 2026, notified regarding the applicability of Event based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) forTurmeric and other agricultural commodities.
The following has been stated namely: -
• In accordance with the same, based on the High - Low variation, [(High-Low)/Low x 100], E-ASM of 2.5 percent has been re-triggered and will be applicable on all the running contracts and yet to be launched contracts in Guar Seed, Guar Gum and Turmeric till January 23rd, 2026.
• The table presents E-ASM trigger dates based on percentage price variation for select commodities. Barley, Castor Seed, Coriander, and Jeera (including Jeera Mini) do not attract E-ASM monitoring under either 5-day (10%) or 10-day (15%) movement criteria, and hence are marked Not Applicable (NA). In contrast, Guar Gum and Guar Seed attract E-ASM under the 10-day (15%) movement criterion starting 02 January 2026, with applicability continuing till 23 January 2026, while the 5-day criterion remains NA. Turmeric attracts E-ASM under both the 5-day (10%) and 10-day (15%) movement criteria from 02 January 2026, applicable till 23 January 2026.
