Industry Specific ComplianceThe Directorate General of Shipping (DGS) on January 01, 2026, notified regarding the updation of Seafarer Profile Details on the existing e-Governance Portal in view of the Migration to the e-Samudra Portal.

The following has been stated namely: -

• All seafarers are required to review and update their profile details on the existing e-Governance Portal by January 07, 2026, to ensure accuracy. This is mandated in view of the migration of seafarer data to the new e-Samudra Portal scheduled for January 15, 2026, where updated information is essential for a smooth transfer. 

• Seafarers shall verify and update personal details, certificates, qualifications, and related records within the stipulated timeline. 

• Stakeholders have been advised to ensure strict compliance and wide dissemination of this requirement through official websites, social media, and other communication channels.
