class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">The Clearing Corporation of India Ltd (CCIL), on January 01, 2026, issued a circular regarding the contribution towards prefunded default handling resources.
The following has been stated namely: -
CCIL has informed members that the contributions required to meet losses arising from participant defaults during January 2026 have been determined and will be collected in two tranches. Tranche 1 amounts to ₹1,860 crore and Tranche 2 to ₹1,240 crore, taking the total contribution to ₹3,100 crore. The highest contribution relates to the forex forward segment at ₹1,712.37 crore, followed by securities (outright and repo) at ₹618.31 crore and forex settlement at ₹361.97 crore. Contributions have also been specified for securities (tri-party repo), rupee derivatives (MIBOR and MIFOR), and forex options, as detailed in the table.
