The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (MoCAF&PD) on January 01, 2026, issued the Legal Metrology (Government Approved Test Centre) Amendment Rules, 2026, further to amend the Legal Metrology (Government Approved Test Centre) Rules, 2013.
The following has been amended, namely: -
• In First Schedule after "18. Flow meters", the following weights & measures shall be inserted - "19. Petrol/ diesel dispenser 20. CNG dispenser 21. LPG dispenser 22. LNG dispenser 23. Hydrogen dispenser"."
• In the Fifth Schedule, after Sr. No. 18, the fees for the following weights & measures shall be inserted, namely:
o “19. Petrol/ diesel dispenser - Rs. 5,000.00 Each nozzle
o 20. CNG dispenser - Rs. 10,000.00 Each nozzle
o 21. LPG dispenser - Rs. 10,000.00 Each nozzle
o 22. LNG dispenser - Rs. 10,000.00 Each nozzle
o 23. Hydrogen dispenser - Rs. 10,000.00 Each nozzle.”
