The Ministry of Finance, on January 2, 2026, has extended the validity of the existing anti-dumping duty on imports of Flexible Slabstock Polyol of molecular weight 3000–4000 falling under tariff sub-heading 3907 29. The product originates in or is exported from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The extension follows a sunset review initiated by the Designated Authority under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975.
The review was initiated through DGTR Notification No. 7/03/2025-DGTR dated March 18, 2025, in accordance with Section 9A(5) of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 read with Rule 23 of the Anti-Dumping Rules, 1995. Upon review, the Designated Authority recommended continuation of the anti-dumping duty earlier imposed vide Notification No. 20/2021-Customs (ADD) dated April 5, 2021, to prevent injury to the domestic industry.
Accordingly, the Central Government has amended the earlier notification to insert a new provision clarifying that the anti-dumping duty shall remain in force up to and inclusive of June 17, 2026, unless revoked, superseded, or amended earlier. This extension ensures continued trade remedial protection during the pendency of the sunset review proceedings and maintains stability for the domestic manufacturers.
