The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoAFW) on December 31, 2025, issued a notification to amend notification no. S.O. No. 1560(E), dated March 26, 2024, related to Certain Seed Varieties as Notified Varieties under the Seeds Act, 1966.
The following amendments have been stated:
In the said notification, in the Table, -
• against, serial number 30, under column (4), after the word “Punjab”, the word “Haryana” shall be inserted;
• against, serial number 51, under column (4), after the word “Andhra Pradesh”, the word “Tamil Nadu” shall be inserted;
• against, serial number 92, under column (4), after the word “West Bengal”, the words “Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra” shall be inserted.
