Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Uttar Pradesh on December 10, 2025, issued the notification regarding the prohibition of strike in certain industries under the Uttar Pradesh Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1966.

The following has been prohibited namely: -

• Any public service in connection with the affairs of the State of Uttar Pradesh

• Any service under a corporation owned or controlled by the State Government and any service under a local authority.

This is for a period of six months.
