Industry Specific ComplianceThe Department of, Food & Public Distribution (DFPD) on December 31, 2025, issued the notification regarding the Application for Issuance of "Taken on Record" Order through NSWS Portal for Establishment of New Sugar Mills as well as On boarding of Existing Project Proponents with IEMs under implementation.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The application for issuance of “Taken on Record” Order for establishing new sugar mills is now available only through the National Single Window System (NSWS) Portal, and project proponents must apply online with required documents (IEM, Distance Certificate, Bank Guarantee) within the prescribed timelines under the Sugarcane (Control) Order, 1966.

• Existing project proponents who have already received a “Taken on Record” Order and whose IEMs are under implementation must register and re-apply on the NSWS Portal to enable online tracking of IEM implementation, validity, and Performance Bank Guarantee.

• All project proponents with IEMs under implementation must submit periodic online progress reports on the NSWS Portal for effective monitoring of project progress, as per the Sugarcane (Control) Order, 1966.
