Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) on January 02, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Key Financial Interventions to Boost MSME Exports

The following has been stated namely: -

• Under the Export Promotion Mission, two key interventions have been launched to support MSME exports: interest subsidy on export credit and contingent guarantee support for export credit, aimed at reducing financing constraints and improving access to trade finance.

• The interest subsidy intervention provides a base subsidy of 2.75% on pre- and post-shipment export credit in INR, with additional incentives for exports to notified under-represented emerging markets.

• A transparent, data-driven positive list has been prepared prioritizing labour- and capital-intensive sectors, MSME concentration, and value addition, while excluding restricted/prohibited items; Raksha and SCOMET products are included, and RBI will issue detailed operational guidelines. The scheme will begin with a pilot phase.

• The contingent support intervention introduces export credit guarantee coverage through CGTMSE, offering up to 85% guarantee for micro and small exporters and 65% for medium exporters, with a maximum guarantee of ₹10 crore per exporter per year, to improve bank credit flow to MSMEs.

• Approved by the Union Cabinet on November 12, 2025, the Export Promotion Mission has a budget of ₹25,060 crore (FY 2025-26 to FY 2030-31) and is jointly implemented by the Department of Commerce, MSME Ministry and Ministry of Finance, combining Export Promotion (financial support) and Export Direction (market access, branding, logistics, compliance and trade analysis) to boost MSME-led export growth.
