The Ministry of Textiles (MoT) on January 01, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Final Fixation of Maximum Ex-Factory Price for 580 gm Type-A and Type-B Jute Bags
The following has been stated namely: -
• The maximum ex-factory price has been fixed for 580 gm Type-A and Type-B jute bags under Clause 3(6) of the Jute and Jute Textiles Control Order, 2016.
• The price for both Type-A and Type-B B-Twill sacking bags (580 gm, without linkage) is fixed at ₹1,42,938 per MT, equivalent to ₹8,290.38 per 100 bags.
• These prices apply to bags of size 94 cm × 57 cm, 580 gm weight, conforming to BIS Specification IS: 16186:2014, with required identification markings.
• The bags shall be purchased or sold during December 2025 and thereafter, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
• The fixed price is exclusive of GST, which shall be paid separately by the purchaser, and each bag must carry the PCSO emblem, mill name, and BIS certification marking, meeting prescribed breaking strength standards.
