The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) on January 01, 2026, issued a notification regarding compounding of offences under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, in accordance with the Drugs and Cosmetics (Compounding of Offences) Rules, 2025.
The following has been stated: -
•Guidelines, SOPs, and FAQs on compounding of offences are available on the CDSCO portal.
•Applications for compounding must be submitted in the prescribed physical form, with an advance copy emailed as per Rule 4 of Drugs and Cosmetics (Compounding of Offences) Rules, 2025.
