The Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) on December 24, 2025, issued Partial Modification of Directions for Treatment and Disposal of Effluent Generated by Health Care Facilities (HCFs).
In partial modification of the aforesaid orders dated December 29, 2023, April 13, 2024 & March 07, 2025 following directions are issued:-
• The bedded Health Care Facilities (HCFs) upto 30 beds shall immediately connect to common sewage treatment network & terminal STP, if developed/ operated by the Municipal Authorities in the area or install own Effluent/Sewage Treatment Plant by March 31, 2026, as the case may be.
• The Health Care Facilities (HCFs) having 31-100 beds (other than which are either connected with Medical College/ Educational Institutions or require Environmental Clearance as per EIA Notification, 2006) shall immediately connect to common sewage treatment network & terminal STP. However if such HCFs are operating outside the coverage area of common sewage treatment network & terminal STP shall install own Effluent/ Sewage Treatment Plant of adequate capacity by March 31, 2026, as the case may be.
• The Health care Facilities (other than HCFs which are either connected with Medical College/ Educational Institutions or require Environmental Clearance as per EIA Notification, 2006 or having more than 100 beds) which are discharging wastewater into public sewer connected to a terminal Sewage Treatment Plant shall submit certificate/letter to this effect duly issued by the competent authority. All the other conditions mentioned in the State Board's order dated December 29, 2023, April 13, 2024 & March 07, 2025 shall remain in force.
