The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), on December 31, 2025, has issued an Office Memorandum to streamline and standardise the timelines and process flow for apprenticeship contract signing, advisor verification, and payroll creation on the Apprenticeship Portal.
The memorandum prescribes uniform, system-enabled timelines and procedural controls to be followed by candidates, establishments, and apprenticeship advisors to ensure timely verification, approval, and creation of payroll. Detailed timelines and process provisions have been laid down in Annexure-I to the Office Memorandum.
These standardised provisions shall come into effect from January 20, 2026, and all stakeholders have been directed to ensure strict compliance with the prescribed timelines and process controls to improve efficiency and transparency in apprenticeship administration.
