Industry Specific ComplianceThe Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX), on January 05, 2026, issued a circular on information sharing and reporting of Cyber Security Incidents, in continuation of its earlier circulars and the Master Circular dated April 30, 2025. The circular has been issued under the provisions of the Rules, Bye-Laws and Business Rules of the Exchange, with the objective of strengthening cyber security oversight and timely incident reporting.

MCX has mandated that all trading members must report the status of cyber incidents—whether occurred or non-occurred—for the quarter ending December 31, 2025. The reporting is required to be completed through the MCX Member Portal. The submission window will remain open until January 15, 2026, and members are expected to adhere strictly to this timeline.

To assist members in compliance, MCX has made an online help file available on the SFTP common path. The Exchange has further cautioned that non-compliance may attract regulatory action, as deemed appropriate. Members have been advised to take note of the requirements and ensure timely and accurate submission of cyber security incident information.
