Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Karnataka on January 02, 2026, issued the Draft Karnataka Compulsory Services by candidates completed Medical Courses (Counselling, Allotment and Certification) (Amendment) Rules, 2025, further to amend the Karnataka Compulsory Service by candidates completed Medical Courses (Counselling, Allotment and Certification) Rules, 2015.

The following has been stated namely: -

• In rule 3, sub-rules (3) and (4) shall be omitted.

• After rule 15, a new rule shall be inserted - “15A. Disposal of appeal”. It states that an aggrieved person may file an appeal against the order of the Competent Authority within 30 days, which shall be heard and decided by the Specified Authority. The Specified Authority may issue directions or reject the appeal, and its decision shall be final.

• Objections and Suggestions may be addressed to the Principal Secretary to the Government Health and Family Welfare Department, Room No. 108, Vikasa Soudha, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Veedhi, Bengaluru-560001, by January 09, 2026.
