The Multi-Commodity Exchange of India Ltd. (MCX) on January 05, 2025, has released Version 1.6 of the MCX Market Data Interface (MDI) and MCX Enhanced Market Data Interface (EMDI) APIs.
The key enhancement in Version 1.6 is the addition of new values in the MDEntryType field under Section 6.3 – Depth Incremental Message, as detailed below:
Value 7: Upper Circuit Limit
Value 8: Lower Circuit Limit
Trading Members and Empanelled Vendors are advised to make necessary system-level amendments to incorporate these changes.
The updated interfaces are currently available in the test environment, enabling members and vendors to validate and test the changes in their applications. MCX will issue a separate circular to announce the go-live date for these updates.
