Industry Specific ComplianceThe International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) on January 06, 2026, issued Frequently Asked Questions on International Financial Services Centres Authority (Anti Money Laundering, Counterterrorist Financing and Know Your Customer) Guidelines, 2022.

The following has been stated: -

•The Guidelines apply to all IFSCA-licensed/registered Regulated Entities and, to the specified extent, their financial groups.

•Designated Director and Principal Officer must be different natural persons; the DD is the head of the IFSC entity, while the PO must be senior, independent of business and internal audit functions.

•Officials of parent entities in onshore India cannot act as DD/PO for IFSC entities; however, FME-appointed DD/PO may also serve AIFs managed by the FME.

•Every Regulated Entity must have a Governing Body-approved AML-CFT-KYC policy, and existing AML policies may continue if aligned with the Guidelines.
