The Directorate General of Shipping (DGS) on January 06, 2026, issued a corrigendum to the Notice regarding Updation of Seafarer profile Details on the existing e-Governance Portal in view of Migration to the e-samudra portal.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that only the Email ID and Mobile Phone Number need to be updated on the existing e-Governance Portal by January 07, 2026, 23:00 hrs, in preparation for data migration to the new e-Samudra Portal.
• Updating other parts of the seafarer profile will be done later, after migration to the e-Samudra Portal; seafarers will be informed when that stage begins.
• Those unable to update now because they are sailing will be allowed to update their details on the e-Samudra Portal later.
