The Government of Chhattisgarh, on January 02, 2026, issued a notification regarding Motor Vehicle Tax Rebate for vehicles sold at the Raipur Auto Expo.
The following has been stated: -
•The Chhattisgarh Government has granted a one-time 50% rebate on lifetime motor vehicle tax (excluding electric vehicles) for vehicles sold at the Raipur Auto Expo from January 20 to February 05, 2026.
•The rebate applies only to vehicles sold by registered dealers holding valid trade certificates and requires full tax payment and submission of registration documents within the Expo period.
•Tax will be calculated on the manufacturer’s price, with no exemption on dealer discounts, and additional benefits may apply for vehicles scrapped under RVSF.
•Dealers must comply with prescribed conditions, including gate pass verification, model approval, road safety contribution, and stall allotment procedures.
