The Andaman and Nicobar Administration on December 19, 2025, issued the list of Industrial Holidays for 2026.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It has notified the List of Industrial Holidays with wages for the Calendar Year 2026 for industrial establishments under its jurisdiction.
• A total of 16 paid industrial holidays have been declared for 2026, covering national festivals, religious occasions, and important days such as Republic Day, Independence Day, Mahatma Gandhi’s Birthday, May Day, Diwali, and Christmas.
• Certain festivals such as Id-ul-Fitr, Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid), and Milad-un-Nabi are subject to change based on the appearance of the moon.
• These holidays are mandatory with wages for industrial establishments governed by the Andaman and Nicobar Administration.
