The Labour Department, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, on December 22, 2025, issued a notification regarding an advisory on Staggered Timings and Transport to Curb Pollution.
The following has been stated: -
•In continuation of the advisory dated December 17, 2025, the Labour Department, GNCTD, has advised employers to stagger office timings.
•The staggering must ensure that the maximum spread-over does not exceed limits prescribed under the Factories Act, 1948, and Delhi Shops & Establishments Act, 1954.
•Employers are urged to discourage the use of private vehicles for commuting.
•As far as practicable, shared transport facilities should be provided to employees to help reduce pollution in Delhi.
