The Government of Chhattisgarh, on January 01, 2026, issued the Chhattisgarh Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) (Second) Act, 2025.
The following has been stated namely:-
• The fines and penalties provided under various provisions in the enactments mentioned in the schedule shall be increased by ten per cent of the minimum amount of fine or penalty, as the case may be, prescribed thereof, after the expiry of every 3 years from the date of commencement of this Act.
• The administrative jurisdiction for the laws specified in the schedule to this Act shall continue to vest in the respective departments as earlier. The concerned departments shall, within their administrative domain, make necessary amendments to the applicable rules and issue appropriate guidelines for the effective implementation of the provisions of this Act. Further, the relevant department shall appoint adjudicating officers, appellate authorities, and a recovery mechanism for the purposes specified in the schedule, in such manner and subject to such terms and conditions as may be prescribed.
