The Andaman & Nicobar Administration on December 31, 2025, issued an advisory for boat operators/tourism stakeholders.
The general public and all stakeholders are informed that Gram Panchayats or local Panchayat authorities are not authorized to issue permissions, approvals, or No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for water sports activities—including Glass Bottom Boats, Parasailing, or any allied activities—at New Wandoor Beach near the Fish Landing Jetty.
Authority for granting permission to operate vessels and boats rests solely with the Port Management Board and the Office of the Deputy Commissioner (South Andaman), in accordance with existing rules, guidelines, and safety regulations.
All boat owners and stakeholders are advised to obtain permissions only from the designated competent authorities and to ensure strict compliance with applicable legal provisions, safety standards, and prescribed norms.
