Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Meghalaya, on September 10, 2025, issued the Meghalaya Decriminalisation (Amendment of Provisions and Repealing) Bill, 2025. 

The following has been stated: -

•Amendments or repeals under this Act do not affect other laws where such provisions are applied, referenced, or incorporated.

•Past actions, rights, liabilities, proceedings, remedies, and legal consequences remain unaffected.

•Existing legal principles, procedures, customs, jurisdictions, and privileges continue, and repeals do not revive extinct rights or offices.

•The State Government may issue Gazette orders to resolve implementation difficulties within two years, subject to legislative scrutiny.
