The Government of Manipur, on January 05, 2026, notified the Lilong (Thoubal) Municipal Council Building Byelaws, 2025.
The following has been stated: -
•It regulates planning, design, and construction of buildings within Lilong Municipal Council limits.
•Prescribe norms for land use, building height, setbacks, floor area ratio, and structural safety.
•Lay down procedures for building permissions, completion certificates, and compliance requirements.
•Provides enforcement mechanisms, penalties, and powers of the Municipal Council for violations.
