The Union Territory of Lakshadweep, on September 19, 2025, issued the Draft Industrial Relation (Lakshadweep) Rules, 2025.
The following has been stated: -
•Defines key terms under the Industrial Relations Code, 2020, including electronic submission, and adopts Code-defined meanings.
•Written settlements before the Conciliation Officer must be in Form I, signed by parties, and forwarded to the Conciliation Officer.
•Provides detailed rules for the constitution, composition, tenure, and functioning of the Works Committee, ensuring balanced employer–worker representation.
•Prescribes the composition and selection process for the Grievance Redressal Committee, with equal employer and worker representation.
