Secretarial ComplianceThe Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on January 07, 2026, issued a notification regarding Advisory on Placing Orders at Realistic Prices and Pre-Trade Risk Controls.

The following has been stated:

The Exchange has observed instances of orders being placed at unrealistic prices or significantly away from the Last Traded Price (LTP), reference price, or theoretical price. Such practices can distort the order book and disrupt market equilibrium, impacting overall market integrity. Members are advised to exercise due care and diligence while placing orders and to strengthen pre-trade risk controls, including for orders placed through algorithms, IBT, or STWT, whether for their own account or on behalf of clients. Non-compliance with these guidelines may attract regulatory action as per Exchange regulations.
