The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on January 07, 2026, notified the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Stock Brokers) Regulations, 2026.
The following has been stated: -
•Regulation 2 lays down various definitions of the terms like certificate and change in control.
•Regulation 3 specifies the Applicability of provisions to clearing members and certain clarifications.
•Regulation 4 specifies the Application for registration.
•Regulation 5 specifies the Furnishing of information and clarification.
These regulations shall come into force on January 08, 2026.
