The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), on January 07, 2026, issued a corrigendum to the Food Safety and Standards (Alcoholic Beverages) Second Amendment Regulations, 2025, which were earlier notified on November 19, 2025 in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part III, Section 4.
Through this corrigendum, FSSAI has corrected an inadvertent error in the earlier notification. Specifically, on Page 2 of the notification, the word “Mumbai” has been substituted with “New Delhi”, thereby rectifying the place mentioned in the regulatory text.
The corrigendum has been issued with the approval of the competent authority and has been signed by the Chief Executive Officer, FSSAI. Stakeholders are advised to read the principal notification in conjunction with this corrigendum for accurate interpretation and compliance.
