The Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd. (MCX), dated January 08, 2026, has informed members about the movement of the Options Silver product (OFSILVER) from its existing partition to Partition 5. This change is being implemented to optimize system performance and efficiently manage data streams.
The changes will be made live with effect from January 12, 2026. Accordingly, all GTD and GTC orders in OFSILVER will be cancelled at End of Day on January 09, 2026.
Members using EMDI market data are required to subscribe to Stream-5 for OFSILVER, while members using EOBI market data must subscribe to Stream-2 for the same product. The updated stream details will be reflected in the Stream Master file available on the MCX SFTP path /Common/Contract Master. The product movement will also be updated in the product master file (Mcxscrip.bcp).
MCX has clarified that there are no changes to the MDI and ETI APIs as part of this update.
Members are advised to make the necessary system-level changes and take note of the above.
