The Kerala State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) on January 06, 2026, issued a notification regarding clarification on the collection of transportation charges for sampling on an actual basis.
The following has been stated: -
•As per the revised circular, no analysis or transportation charges shall be levied for one annual sampling/monitoring of water/effluent for green and orange category units with a capital investment up to ₹50 lakh.
•If additional sampling within 12 months is required due to complaints, litigation, or non-compliance, both analysis and transportation charges shall be levied as per the applicable slab.
•Transportation charges shall be calculated based on the distance from the office to each individual unit, irrespective of whether the vehicle is owned, hired, or contracted.
•Such transportation charges shall be collected at the prevailing Government Order (GO) rates, as applicable.
