Industry Specific ComplianceThe Central Depository Services Limited (CDSL) on January 06, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Non-Charging of AMC in Demat Accounts Consisting of Illiquid, Suspended or Delisted Securities.

The following has been stated namely: -

• DPs should refer to CDSL Communique regarding non-charging of AMC for certain demat accounts.

• AMC should not be charged for demat accounts in “To be Closed” status that hold only illiquid, suspended, or delisted securities.

• The classification of such securities is based on details received from Stock Exchanges.

• DP-wise lists of eligible BO IDs are shared in the respective DP billing folders, with the file name format:“BLNG<<DP ID>>NO_AMC_ISINS_06012026.tar”.

• If no eligible BO IDs exist for a DP, the file will not be available, and DPs must ensure AMC is not charged to such BO IDs as per the Communique.
