The Department of Forest, Govt. of Himachal Pradesh on October 27, 2025, notified regarding the Divisional Forest Officers authorized as Competent Authority under HP Prevention of Specific Corrupt Practices Act, 1983.
The Government has ordered that the Divisional Forest Officers of the respective Forest Divisions shall be the competent authority to issue reports in writing against contractors executing works within the jurisdiction of their concerned Forest Divisions, with a view to strengthening supervision and accountability in forest-related works.
