The Government of Tripura notified on December 1, 2025, regarding public holidays for Banks and Financial Institutions for the Year 2026.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Government has declared 24 public holidays for all Banks and Financial Institutions in Tripura for the year 2026. These include national holidays such as Republic Day, Independence Day, and Gandhi Jayanti, major religious festivals like Holi, Id-ul-Fitr, Id-ul-Zuha, Muharram, Diwali, and Christmas, and important regional and cultural occasions including Biju/Buisu Festival, Garia Puja, Kharchi Puja, Ker Puja, Bengali New Year, and birthdays of eminent personalities.
• April 1, 2026, is notified as the Yearly Bank Closing Day.
• It is also noted that Saraswati Puja (January 23) and Maha Saptami (October 17–18) fall on existing holidays.
