NCDEX Applicability of Eventbased Additional Surveillance Margin effective up to February 04, 2026

Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX), on January 12, 2026, issued a circular informing trading and clearing members about the re-triggering of the Event-based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) mechanism, in continuation of earlier surveillance-related circulars issued between 2019 and 2021.

(High–Low)/Low×100, an E-ASM of 2.5% has been re-triggered. Accordingly, the margin shall be applicable on all running contracts as well as contracts yet to be launched in Guar Gum, Guar Seed and Turmeric, owing to price movement thresholds being breached.

The E-ASM will remain effective up to February 04, 2026, with trigger dates recorded as January 12, 2026 for the concerned commodities. Other commodities such as Barley, Castor Seed, Coriander and Jeera are not impacted. All other applicable margins shall continue to be levied as per existing norms.
