The Department of Power, Punjab, on January 09, 2026, issued a notification regarding Policy for extension and One Time Settlement of expired PSPCL No Objection Certificates to promote Sustainable Development of the Real Estate Sector.
The following has been stated: -
•Expired PSPCL NOCs issued after 2014 can be extended up to two years on original terms, subject to licence extension, no layout change, and charges as per PSERC Regulations.
•The benefit applies to all NOCs issued from January 01, 2015, whose validity has expired.
•A One Time Settlement (OTS) is introduced for NOCs issued up to 2014, exempting SLC, allowing licence relaxation, and permitting acceptance of existing LD systems subject to conditions.
•Developers must complete, or deposit the cost of balance LD works within two years, with phased or lump-sum payment options for connectivity charges, including incentives.
