The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on January 12, 2026, issued updates in the Master Direction - Other Remittance Facilities.
The following has been stated: -
•Miscellaneous remittance facilities for residents are permitted under FEMA, 1999, and related Government notifications, as amended from time to time.
•RBI issues directions to Authorised Persons under Section 11 of FEMA to regulate the conduct of foreign exchange transactions.
•All instructions on resident remittance facilities have been consolidated into this Master Direction, with source circulars listed in the Appendix.
•Any future regulatory changes will be communicated through A.P. (DIR Series) Circulars and incorporated into the Master Direction accordingly.
