The Chandigarh Administration on January 12, 2026, Unveils Energy Efficiency & Conservation Activity Calendar 2026.
The Chandigarh Administration has launched its Annual Activity Calendar for Energy Efficiency and Conservation 2026, reaffirming its commitment to sustainability and environmental protection. The calendar was officially unveiled by Ms. Prerna Puri, IAS, Secretary Engineering, in the presence of senior officials and the Energy Management Cell (EMC) team.
Prepared by the Energy Management Cell / State Designated Agency under the Engineering Department, the calendar serves as a comprehensive roadmap of initiatives aimed at promoting energy efficiency and conservation across government bodies, educational institutions, industries, and the public. All activities align with the Energy Conservation Act, 2001 and the objectives of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE).
The planned programmes include awareness campaigns, capacity-building efforts, training sessions, and student-focused competitions, highlighting the administration’s focus on engaging all stakeholders—especially youth. Overall, the initiative underscores Chandigarh Administration’s dedication to sustainable development and an energy-efficient future.
