Industry Specific ComplianceThe Medical Education Department, Govt. of Rajasthan on January 12, 2026, notified regarding the Voluntary Aadhaar Authentication for Rajasthan Health Insurance Scheme.

The following has been stated namely: -

• It states that with the approval from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and UIDAI, has notified the use of Aadhaar authentication for establishing the identity of individuals under the Rajasthan Health Insurance Scheme. 

• Aadhaar authentication may be used voluntarily for patient registration, appointment booking, and verification while availing scheme benefits, using Yes/No or e-KYC authentication. 

• Consent of the Aadhaar holder is mandatory, and no service shall be denied for refusal or inability to use Aadhaar, as alternate identity documents such as Jan Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, or Driving Licence are permitted. 

• This shall come into force from January 12, 2026.
