Secretarial ComplianceThe National Stock Exchange Clearing Limited (NSE), on January 14, 2026, issued a circular informing members and custodians about a change in the schedule for Client Collateral Segregation Reporting due to the trading holiday declared on January 15, 2026 on account of the Municipal Corporation Election in Maharashtra.

Accordingly, revised cut-off dates have been notified for reporting of client collateral segregation for trade dates January 14 to January 17, 2026. Reporting for trade dates 14 January and 15 January 2026 (the latter applicable only for commodity derivatives) is to be completed by January 16, 2026, while reporting for trade dates January 16 and 17, 2026 must be completed by January 19, 2026.

Members and custodians have been advised to strictly adhere to the revised timelines. It has been clarified that non-submission of client collateral reports will be treated as non-compliance, and penalties as prescribed shall be applicable in case of any failure.
