Industry Specific ComplianceThe Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX) on January 12, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Trading Restrictions for Clients with Non-Validated KYC as per SEBI and MCX Guidelines.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Clients whose KYC status is “On Hold”/not validated by KRAs (Aadhaar and Non-Aadhaar OVD) for KYCs uploaded between December 01–31, 2025 are covered.

• Such clients will not be permitted to trade or square off open positions from January 27, 2026, until KYC validation is completed.

• Any existing open positions of non-validated clients will naturally expire on the contract expiry date.

• Members must ensure non-validated clients do not trade, monitor their open positions, and note that KRA-compliant PANs will be allowed to trade on T+1 upon confirmation from KRA
