NCDEX notified regarding Event-Based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) in Guar Gum and Guar Seed

Industry Specific ComplianceThe National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) on January 14, 2026, notified regarding Event-Based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) in Guar Gum and Guar Seed.

In reference to earlier surveillance circulars, has announced the re-triggering of Event-Based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) based on price volatility parameters.

Based on the High–Low price variation (High−Low)/Low×100(High − Low) / Low × 100(High−Low)/Low×100, an E-ASM of 2.5% has been re-triggered and will be applicable to all running and yet-to-be-launched contracts in Guar Gum and Guar Seed up to February 06, 2026. The trigger date for both commodities is January 14, 2026, based on the 10-day movement threshold.

Other commodities such as Barley, Castor Seed, Coriander, Jeera (including Jeera Mini) are currently not subject to E-ASM, while Turmeric remains under E-ASM applicability till February 05, 2026.

All other applicable margins will continue to be levied as per existing Exchange norms. Members are advised to take note of the above and ensure compliance accordingly.
