The Government of Himachal Pradesh, on January 08, 2026, issued the Draft Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum and Ombudsman) (Fourth Amendment) Regulations, 2026, to further amend the Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum and Ombudsman) Regulations, 2013.
The following has been stated, namely:-
• In Regulation 7, sub-regulation (1), in clause (ii), for subclause (a), the following sub-clause shall be substituted, namely:- “(a) who are retired officers of the Central or State Government or its Undertakings having minimum service experience of ten years as such and are familiar with the consumer affairs, power sector or regulatory affairs; or”.
• The objections or suggestions in this behalf may be addressed to the Secretary, Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission, Vidyut Aayog Bhawan, Block37, SDA Complex, Kasumpti-171009 (HP) within February 06, 2026.
