The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), on January 13, 2026, issued the date of the establishment and the date of withdrawal of Indian standards particulars related to various Meat and Meat Products.
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the dates of establishment shall be December 29, 2025 –
• IS 488: 2025 -Glass Making Sands —Specification (Third Revision).
• IS 3413: 2025- Base Paper for Carbon Paper —Specification (Third Revision).
• IS 6213 (Part 5): 2025 - Methods of Test for Pulp Part 5 Solubility of Pulp in One Percent Caustic Soda Solution (First Revision).
• IS 19459: 2025 - ISO 7158: 2024 - Meat and Meat Products —Determination of Nitrite and Nitrate Content — Ion Chromatography Method.
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the date of withdrawal shall be June 29, 2026: -
• IS 488 – 1980 - Specification for Glass Making Sands (Second Revision).
• IS 3413: 2004 - Base Paper for Carbon Paper —Specification (Second Revision).
• IS 6213 (Part V) – 1971 - Methods of Test for Pulp Part V Solubility of Pulp in One Percent Caustic Soda Solution.
